"The questions and answers of any discussion are only as good as the creativity and intelligence that is put into them. Good in – Good out. Through Queries and Axioms many ideas will be developed and discussed. This section can be thought of as an answer to the question, “But Why?” for each post on A Logical Illation. Who better to contribute to the answer of this question than the readers of A Logical Illation. Incorporating a facilitative approach with reader participation spawns some of the most interesting and compelling questions and concepts. We are all students to our own ideas. Darwin-fish: Religious Hatred Catalyst?

Posted under Uncategorized

Undoubtedly, religion has been a catalyst to war for centuries. The majority of warring in the old western civilization was based completely on difference in religion. The foundation of the United States was based upon the right to practice religion in peace (or away from the Queen at least). The fighting between Middle Eastern countries currently stems from religious issues.

darwinfishwithlegs.jpgHaving a Darwin bumper sticker which makes a parody or joke of one of the Christian symbols, the ‘Jesus Fish’, is the first step of a semi-purposeful display of religious hatred. In the same way that people in the Dark Ages were so ignorant that they killed each other over trivial reasons, our society screams ignorance when it comes to common sense. This is why the person with the ‘Darwin Fish’ bumper sticker is somehow ignorant enough to place, only inches away, the co-exist sticker which stands for peace among different religions.

In what ways has our current culture trivialized religion which was intolerable not long ago? In other words, in what ways have we let our society get away with bucketfuls of ignorant and contradicting actions?

The ‘Darwin Fish’ inches away from a co-exist bumper sticker is only one great example of these displays of ignorance, there are a million more.Which ones do you most often come across in your daily life?
